The toile de Jouy "Unreal Reality" won the toile de Jouy prize in 2020, theme Imaginary Nature.

She was inspired by the Toiles de Jouy with rustic, mythological and exotic scenes of the pictorial world of animals so beautifully represented in many examples of these historical textile designs. His idea was to show a different kind of reality, the world of fantastic beasts.

Starting with puns and associations of animal names with compound names, she took her drawing pad and began sketching nominal compositions before implementing them.

Thus were born his fantastic beasts to create his "Unreal Reality".

This drawing is a tribute to all the extinct or endangered animals, victims of the destruction of their biotopes mainly caused by man.

L'Atelier d'Eve is located in Provence, in Bagnols sur Cèze, close to Avignon, the Pont du Gard, the Camargue and Pont Saint Esprit.
