The trellis decorations, to which this fabric imagined by Cordélia de Castellane refers, are an emblematic element of the French gardens, especially those of the Palace of Versailles. These are crossed wooden slats in the form of diamonds or regular squares, used as much to climb plants as to delimit more intimate spaces while melting
in the landscape. Our lattice pattern is appreciated for its geometric sobriety while lightness, but also for the possible sets of assortments with flowers, whether
printed on fabric, painted on dishes, or even real in bouquets. Depending on the context, Trellis appears very contemporary or more romantic and classic;
but still impeccably stylish. In green, the garden spirit is evident; in raspberry, we can associate Trellis with the Swirls model. The two colours find their correspondence in Madame Clélia.
A poetic and inspired collection
Maison Thevenon, a French textile house with recognized know-how for four generations, unveils an exclusive collaboration with Cordélia de Castellane, artistic director of Dior Maison and Baby Dior.
Nicknamed byVoguethe "pope of the French art of living", Cordélia de Castellane has always been immersed in the world of creation. From childhood, she walked the flea markets alongside her mother, the decorator Atlanta Politis, and discovered the backstage of haute couture at Chanel with her uncle Gilles Dufour, Karl Lagerfeld's right-hand man.
Guided by a deep passion for flowers and decoration, Cordélia has entrusted Vincent Thevenon with the printing of her personal drawings for several years. Some of these motifs, originally created for exceptional places — such as the Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay or the emblematic Parisian restaurants Laurent and Maxim's — are reborn today in this capsule collection.
A true ode to nature, this collection celebrates generous and romantic flowers — dahlias, peonies, sunflowers — in an abundance of instinctive prints, free from any constraints. Each fabric embodies a warm, spontaneous and resolutely timeless universe.
By entrusting this collection to Cordélia de Castellane, Maison Thevenon enriches its textile universe with a poetic touch, rooted in emotion, heritage and the beauty of creative gesture.
